The 5th Patras Shoulder Course is the continuity of the previous Shoulder Courses that were organized by the Orthopaedic Department of Patras University Medical School. It is honorably dedicated to Professor Panayiotis Dimakopoulos, a distinguished scientist in the field of Shoulder Surgery with great international recognition and acceptance. Prof. Panayiotis Dimakopoulos has served for several years as a Chair to our Orthopaedic Department of Patras University Medical School.
This Course is designed to explore the evolving landscape of Shoulder Surgery through the following topics: Rotator Cuff Tears, Shoulder Instability, AC injuries, Proximal Humerus Fractures, Arthritis and Arthroplasty, and Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty. The scientific program of this 2-day Course has been carefully structured and will focus in surgical approaches and treatment of these shoulder problems.
The first day will be focused on educational lectures and training with hands-on practice on cadaveric specimens in arthroscopic surgery. Rotator Cuff repair and instability procedures will be performed in shoulder specimens.
